There is no single meaningful CCTV price for every home, shop or company. Two eight-camera systems can have very different costs because one may use existing cabling and basic indoor cameras while another needs outdoor cameras, new Cat6 routes, PoE switches, larger storage and difficult high-level installation.
Camera type and required detail
Cost changes with resolution, lens type, low-light performance, outdoor rating, audio, analytics and other model capabilities. The correct comparison is between cameras that meet the same viewing requirement, not simply the same megapixel number.
IP vs analog infrastructure
IP systems may require PoE switches and structured network cabling, while analog systems commonly use DVRs, coaxial cabling and separate power arrangements. Recorder channel capacity

Long routes, concealed pathways, outdoor conduit, ceiling access, lifts or scaffolding and work outside normal hours can affect labor and materials. A site survey often changes the quotation more than a small difference between camera models.
Network and remote-access work
IP CCTV may need switch configuration, PoE budgeting, network segmentation or coordination with an existing IT network. Remote viewing also requires proper account setup and testing. These tasks should be part of commissioning when the project needs them.
